Never Again

She cradled his head in her lap, watching as the blood pooled around them. She caressed his cheek and brushed his hair out of his face.

Never again will I see him smile.
Never again will I hear his laughter.
Never again will I hear his voice.
Never again will I feel his touch, his warmth.
Never again will I scold him about spreading his things all over the place.
Never again will I watch his sleeping face, listening to his snores.
Never again will I see his beautiful body, caress his taut muscles or stroke his smooth skin.
Never again will I look into his sparkling green eyes, ruffle his silky brown hair.
Never again will I feel his lips against my skin.
Never again will I see his flushed face when he's embarrassed.
Never again will we fight and shout at each other over trivial things.
Never again will I see that mischievous expression on your face when you’re up to something.
Never again will I see that guilty look in your eyes when you're hiding something from me.
Never again will I have to wonder where you are.
Never again will I hear you tumble in through the door in the middle of the night.
Never again will I worry about what you're doing, who you're with.
Never again will I smell another woman's smell on you.
Never again!

She lovingly traced his cold lips and relaxed her other hand, letting the knife clatter to the floor. She looked out over the carnage, her eyes resting for a moment on the other pool of blood further into the room and the blond haired lifeless body that lay there. The woman threw her head back and roared with laughter.
